CLAY NIGHTS — THE MUG

No experience needed—just bring your creativity (and maybe a love for craft beer) for this fun, one-night hand-building class where you’ll create your very own handmade Beer Stein Just in time for FKBC OKTOBERFEST. Whether it’s your one day a year beer stein, your daily drinker or a gift for someone special, your creations will be food-safe, dishwasher-safe, made with love, and completely one-of-a-kind.

You’ll be guided step-by-step through the basics of working with clay, including shaping, attachments, and handle making, as you design and build your custom stein.

After you craft your new favorite drinking vessel, you’ll choose a glaze from the studio selection. Your pieces will then be bisque fired, glazed, and final fired by the studio, and will be ready for pickup approximately 14 days after class. Traveling? No problem—finished pieces can be shipped for an additional cost.

You’ll be guided through shaping, forming, and attaching a handle, with attention to proportion and feel. Whether it becomes your morning go-to or a gift, each piece is entirely your own.

CLAY NIGHTS — HAND BUILDING

A one-time study in form, material, and making

A single-session class centered on working with clay by hand.

Held in our studio on Morada Way, Clay Nights are guided, hands-on workshops where each session focuses on a specific form or object. You’ll be introduced to foundational hand-building techniques and given space to shape something of your own.

Who is it for?

For anyone 18 and over looking to step into something creative, work with their hands, and make something from scratch.

No experience needed—just a willingness to show up and try.

• 2-hour guided session
• Clay, tools, and materials
• Instruction in hand-building techniques
• Glaze selection
• Glazing and kiln firing completed by the studio

Additional pieces may be finished for a small fee.

What to expect

This is a working studio environment—hands-on, relaxed, and process-focused.

You’ll be guided step-by-step, with time to create and refine your piece. Each class centers around a specific project, but there’s always room to make it your own.

At the end of class, you’ll select one piece to be finished. We’ll take care of glazing and firing for you.

Finished work will be ready for pickup approximately 2 weeks after your session.

Before you arrive

• Closed-toe shoes are required
• Wear something you don’t mind getting a little messy
• Long hair should be tied back
• Avoid loose or dangling jewelry
• Short nails are recommended
