Wheel Wednesday GIVE IT A WHIRL — A one time wheel experience.
Give It A Whirl —
Have you been curious about the pottery wheel… or maybe it’s been sitting quietly on your bucket list? This single-session class is designed for curious souls ready to try something new and experience the magic (and challenge) of wheel throwing.
In this hands-on class, you’ll be introduced to the basics of working on the wheel—centering clay, opening, and shaping a simple vessel. An instructor will be right there with you, offering support, demonstrations, and plenty of encouragement along the way.
This is an experiential class focused on the process, not perfection. Wheel throwing is a skill that takes time and practice to develop, and the goal of this class is to explore, learn, and enjoy the experience of working with clay.
Participants who create a piece/s they’d like to keep; have the option to select one for the studio to finish. It will be trimmed and refined reasonably, glazed, fired, and ready for pickup at a later date-generally after two weeks.
For participants with a natural gift or who join with a bit of experience to build on, additional pieces may be elected to have finished by the studio for a fee of $6 each.
No experience needed—just bring an open mind, a willingness to learn and enjoy something new.
Held in our studio on Morada Way, this class offers a hands-on introduction to wheel throwing, with guidance throughout and space to explore the material for yourself.

For anyone 18 and over who’s been wanting to try the wheel—whether it’s been on your list for a while or something new you’re stepping into.
